Home to over 200 species of plant and one hundred types of bird, Etherow Park is a great place for nature lovers. The variety of habitats here means that it’s easy to spot wonderful wildlife throughout the year and it’s a haven for bird watchers. The park is also a great place to undertake a variety of leisure pursuits such as rafting, sailing, angling and walking.
Since it was established in 1968, Etherow Country Park has continued to prosper and now attracts over a quarter of a million visitors every year. There is a well-stocked visitors centre, extensive car parking and electric wheelchair hire for visitors with access problems.
Etherow Country Park is located in Compstall on the B6104 between Romiley and Marple.
